Oduros
While I don't claim a particular passion for children's photography, it sure is fun to capture adorable kids being themselves.

Good for the soul.
In the hopes of loosening a bothersome pinched nerve on my left side, Hugo & I went for a walk after work yesterday. It wasn't the most aerobic of walks as I was continually distracted by charming little flowers and mini-fields of wheat that made me feel as though I live in the country, and not a suburb of LA.
Good for the soul, if not for the body.

Places to Go: Getty Villa
In my second outing of the weekend, Hugo and I, along with Liz (in town from Chicago) headed to Malibu to explore the newly renovated Getty Villa. Stunningly beautiful, it's a place that successfully combines the ancient and the modern, and that makes you want to sit outside and read your book. Small enough to be easily explored in half a day, we nibbled on muffins and cookies at the cafe and soaked up the ocean breeze and sun's rays (which had been rain in Monrovia). An undeniably lovely way to spend a Sunday.

Places to Go: Huntington Gardens
Besides the recent Easter holiday & Koman walk, I've not taken Hugo out for a full-day's outing. This weekend, however, changed that and together we got lots of fresh air.
Saturday found me at the Huntington Gardens (thanks, Sara!), together with Denise & Matt. It was a perfect, slightly overcast day that was bright enough to give great light without being too cold or warm. By the end of the day I had almost 500 images to weed through. Of those I kept around 175 with a few dozen that I am particularly pleased with. Unlike Denise, I'm not sure I can choose just two ultimate favorites but for the sake of this post, I'll do my best to give you a handful of favorites in three different categories: Nature, People & Statuary.
