Project365: Day 19


The colors of this wilting flower matched so well with the paint color of the wall beside it.

(50mm, f/4.0, 1/160, ISO 250, no flash)

I really love the colors in this, especially the background variations. I also really love your 50mm lens. I wonder if my 18-55 can be "locked" at 50 and then the aperture adjusted to get the same effect as a 50mm....?

Not sure if you can "lock" it at 50 but you can certainly zoom it to 50 and try to keep it there. It won't have the exact same effect because the aperture on a fixed 50mm lens will be a smaller number (i.e. f/1.8) whereas your lens at 50mm will likely have a larger number. You can test that out and see what f/# is the lowest you can get when zoomed to 50mm. I'm curious.
